Carothers, Clarke, Elliott, Fitzgerald, Hamilton, Wallace,
Witherspoon.

Many of these families were members of the Falling Springs Presbyterian
Church.

James W. Witherspoon married Mollie Elliott 25 April 1780 in Greencastle,
Franklin Co., PA [Mollie Elliott's mother was named Margaret Hamilton,
through her father she was said to be a cousin of Jessie Duncan Elliott]

their son:
David Witherspoon married Massie Ann Carothers 18 May 1830 Guilford,
Franklin Co., PA [Massie Ann Carothers is said to be of an old Cumberland
Co. family.]

their daughter:
Mary Lucetta Witherspoon married Rev. James D. Fitzgerald 26 Apr 1860
Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA [James D. Fitzgerald was the son of James
Fitzgerald and Hannah/Susannah Wallace both of Franklin Co.]

Joseph Clarke's will was probated 1804 in Franklin Co., PA His second wife
was Margaret/Margery Finley. His daughter, by unknown first wife, Deborah
Clarke married John Fitzgerald and they were the grandparents of Rev. James
D. Fitzgerald.

I would love to hear from anyone researching these families.
