With the new year, I thought I would make another plea to the list. I am
very interested in finding information concerning the Ashkettle family who
were in Franklin Co PA at the time of the 1790-1830 census. There are
Ashkettle's directly below in Maryland. My proven family appears in 1840 in
Armstrong County, PA. This must be a very unique family. I have researched
it for 30 years, and have found one lady with a mild interest, a few people
down in Maryland who carry the name but have no information about their
ancestors. It would be a wonderful way to start out 1999 by finding someone
to exchange information!
