First I would check out Virgil White's books on the Revolution War soldiers.
If they have a pension-can rent microfilm from Family History Center which I
prefer to national archives. The film is alphabetical according to last
name-you might find father, son etc.You pay for cost of renting film $3.50
approx. varies then to copy pages abt 15-20 cents a page. You determine what
you want to copy. NARA fees much more expensive. and I have had at least 3
come back saying they did not have info when they did. Also some of the
copies have been almost unreadable.

I have proven 11 Patriots for DAR, working on 12th and help several people
with applications. The DAR Patriot Index just went on the Internet. I will
check and see if there have been DAR applications made on them. Also have
found militia lists in the PA Archives books. My Adam Flake is listed in
one-he was in Cumberland Co PA. Franklin Co PA was not formed until
1784-after Revolution.
