Also good to start at Kittochtinny Historical Society in Chambersburg. You
will also want to go to the court house in Chambersburg. If you visit the
library in Chambersburg ask for Ruth, she does a lot of research and has a
wonderful memory for names and places. The library in Waynesboro has alot of
records also, if you are searching that area of Franklin Co. Carlisle
Hisrorical Society has early records when Franklin was still part of
Cumberland Co. They charge a small fee to search there.
