Hello. I'm new to this list and wanted to post my Franklin County interests.


I'm researching George GIPE, born in PA about 1809 who married Elizabeth
BARNCORD, born in PA about 1823. The county of their births is unknown.
However, they are found in the 1850 census in Montgomery Township, Franklin
County. Also found in Montgomery Township is a Jacob BARNCORD, born about
1820.

George and Elizabeth had the following children:

David - b. 1846, possibly in Greencastle
Henry or Henery - b. 1848 in PA
Elizabeth - b. 1850 in PA
Jacob - b. 1851 in PA
Rohanna - b. 1855 in Indiana
Mary/Arilla - b. 1857 in Illinois
John - b. 1860 in Illinois
Samuel - b. 1863 in Bureau County, IL

I would like to find further information on George and Elizabeth,
particularly who their parents were. As I am new to Pennsylvania research,
any suggestions of resources to check would be very appreciated.
