Subject: [PAFRANKL] HAWK/STUMP land deal, 1830
Date: Wed, 25 Jun 2003 20:08:21 -0400

Jacob HAWK died in 1813. He held a half interest in 245 acres in Letterkenny Twp. as tenant in common with his father, John HAWK. By order of the Court, the land was partitioned in 1816 in behalf of Jacob's widow Elizabeth, nee STUMP and their minor children. In January1830, John STUMP, administrator of Jacob's estate sold the parcel of 122 acres and 87 perches to Jacob GROVE. April 1 1830, Jacob GROVE sold the same parcel to John STUMP, the former administrator. (Deed Book 17, pp 204, 205)

According to the metes and bounds, the land was bordered by land of Wm. Davis, Jacob Killinger, George Meyers John Hawk and Abraham Winger. Does anybody know if a plat map exisits which would show the location of this tract?
