Love the question.

Abraham COBLE/KOBEL of Franklin County, formally of Northumberland Co. and
his wife Christina and eleven children migrated to Richland/Ashland County, Ohio
by 1835. Abraham Coble left Ohio ca 1860 for Elkhart, Indiana and died there
in 1865. He is buried in a Brethren cemetery so perhaps he followed other
Brethren members to Elkhart which is heavily populated with Mennonite and Brethren.

Philip SHOEMAKER of Franklin County, formally of Lancaster County, migrated
with his wife Mary and their children to Columbiana County, Ohio in 1803 when
Ohio became a state. Although he was married he traveled with his parents John
and Elizabeth Shoemaker to Columbiana County. By 1830 Philip Shoemaker was
living in Ashland County, Ohio.

I suspect the reason for leaving PA. is land, lots of land.
