> I, too, have some mysteries in this area. My ancestor, George Miller, took his family from Franklin County--I believe Hamilton Township-- to Iowa somewhere around 1857. The next batch of children were all born in Iowa (first in 1858), and then they returned to Franklin County--this time to Quincy township--before the 1870 census. I have yet to determine where in Iowa they lived, or why they went.
