Hi Ann,
Thanks for the response. No problem with asking me to check further about
something, that I may not have been real complete about. I had to check back
a few pages to find the Rev.'s full name. Sometimes there is more
information on another page, including full names of judges in
naturalizations etc., so no problem with checking to see if I can find more
complete info on another page. The Rev's name was not complete at the top of
the page, but his name is Rev. Johannes Heinrich Helffrich, one of the
fathers of the Reformed Church in America. I have a bio if anyone wants that
Here are others of those Dormajers that I saw on the index, but could not
see, earlier .
20 April 1797 "Domi" Johannes Federmann married with Catharina Dormajer
The word Domi is an abbreviation for "Die Traung hat im Hause, Namlich
seinem eigenem Stadt gefunden." Don't know if any of the researchers can
help with the translation. (All of this information is in German. I can
figure out basic words.)
23 Feb.1797 "Domi" Joh Nicolaus Krieger married Magdalen Dormajer
9 March, 1802 "Domi" Friedrich Kieffer married Mariga Dormajer
Hope this helps,
Joyce in CA

Joyce,
Thanks so much! Do you have the name of the church and Rev. Johannes
last name?
I really appreciate your help.
Ann

Hello Ann and Researchers,
I find Dormejer, which is probably an alternate spelling, on #172, PA Vital
Records
Marriages and Burials between years of 1790-1810 by Rev. Johannes......
9 Jan. 1794 "Domi" Johannes Dormejer and Catharina Knarr (with an omlout
:-) which is the two dots over the vowel.)
None of the other spellings showed up. Sorry.

Dear Joyce,
I would be very grateful if you keep an eye out for any variations of
Dormeyer/Dunmire/Demire in your lists.
