Hello Researchers,

On the CD (Broderbund) PA Genealogical Magazine Disk 2 there are queries
from Alice Shockey Balest, 2822 Beal Ave., Altoona, PA 16601. This may give
you some additional information about the Shockeys. I can't guarantee the
address, however. :-)

She writes: Need anything on Abraham SHOCKEY, born Feb. 1793 and his brother
William, born 11 Nov. 1786, both of Somerset Co., PA, sons of Christian and
Mary Welsh SHOCKEY. Did either brother have a son John Valentine SHOCKEY,
born 1 Mar. 1819 in PA?

She also writes: Johan Christoffel SCHACKE (John Christopher Shockey)
arrived in Philadelphia 10 Sept. 1737 on the "snow MOLLY; German Prussian.
John Valentine Shockey (1819-1899) married mary Ann Ort, ca. 1817-1877 and
resided in Clearfield Co., PA. Who were their parents?

(Spellings of Shockey are exactly from the CD.)
