Dori,

I think we may have a very distant connection: My ggrandmother was Mary Jane Ritchie, daughter of William Ritchie. When her Mother died while they were living in Indiana, Mary Jane and her younger sister, Ann Elizabeth, were sent to Penna. to live with their Aunt, Rachel Ritchie Maxwell. I am most anxious to learn more of this line, as I have many stumbling blocks on this path. I know that after they returned to PA, Mary Jane married George Edgar Earley fairly soon, but Ann Elizabeth was sent to Millersville Normal School (Teacher's College). George and Mary Jane lived in Shippensburg, Cumberland Co., PA

Finding out about Sarah Duncan Maxwell from you was a new piece of information for me, and I thank you. I don't know that I can help you much unless it is info about the Ritchie's and Earley's, but maybe you could share some of your info with me. I would be most appreciative.
