I'm interested in placing a V.A. headstone at the unmarked gravesite of my
ancestor Samuel Hickman (vet of War of 1812). It is located in the small
Hickman family plot on State Game Lands near Coal Lick Run, Whiteley Twp.
The V.A. form states that I have to get written permission of the person in
charge of the cemetery. Well.... like most small family cemeteries in
Greene County, there is no official caretaker of the small cemetery.

Anyone have a similar experience? Any suggestions? Is there a contact
person for the State Game Lands?
