Trying to find where my great grandfather may have been from. His name was
Samuel Long. He married Martha Mackey, daughter of Elias and Susannah Evans
Mackey. She was born in Springhill Twp., Greene Co. in 1866. I don't know
where Samuel was from or his parents or sibs. My grandfather, Ogle L. Long,
was born in Mt. Pleasant in Fayette Co. Does anyone have any information on
a Samuel Long born in the c. 1860s?
I grew up with the surname Long and would like to know where it came from.
