Reah J. Lemley Chaney, 90, of New Freeport, died Tuesday0, Feb.0 4, 2003, in Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville, W. Va., following a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 9, 1912, in Deep Valley, a daughter of Burns and Lucy Null Lemley.
Mrs. Chaney was a member of Sand Hill Church of Christ in Ned, W. Va.
For many years, she was owner and operator of Lemley’s Grocery Store in Ned.
Her husband, Lawrence Chaney, is deceased.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are five sisters, Mary, Florence and Juanita Lemley, Amy Bissett and Alphie Flaherty; and a brother, Raymond Lemley.

Friends of Reah J. Chaney of New Freeport, who died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday in Hunt Funeral Home, Cleveland Ave., Hundred, W. Va., where services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, Feb. 8. Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ned, W. Va.
