Charles Mack McNeely, 85, of 1080 Ninth St., Waynesburg, Pa., died Thursday, May 14, 1997, in Greene County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 18, 1911, in Rogersville, a son of Charles and Emma Norman McNeely.
On Sept. 11, 1945, he married Thelma Craig McNeely, who died Oct. 13, 1985.
Mr. McNeely was a retired employee of Columbia Gas Company. He worked for the company 32 years.
Mr. McNeely lived most of his life in Waynesburg, where he was a member of the First Christian Church. He also was a member of the Columbia Gas Quarter Centry Club and enjoyed playing the violin.
He is survived by a son, John W. “J. B.” McNeely, with whom he made his home; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceasrd are three brothers, Harry McNeely, Hart McNeely and Asa McNeely, and six sisters, Ellen Thomas, Lucy Wood, Artie Eagon, Mace McNeely, Dora Daugherty and Sally McNeely.

Friends of Charles Mack Neely of 1080 Ninth Street, Waynesburg, who died Thursday, May 14, 1997, will be received from 3-9 PM Friday in the Behm Funeral Home Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11AM Saturday, May 17, with the Rev. Bill McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
