Dear Ken,

Patrick Kelly was a Sergent in Co. G, "The Huntingdon Rifles" of the 5th
Penna. Reserves. This regiment was organized on June 20th, 1861 and orginally
led by Colonel Seneca G. Simmons. It was also known as the 34th Penna.
Volunteer Infantry and was part of McCall's Division in the Army of the
Potomac.

The Pennsylvania Reserve Corps was one of the finest fighting units in the
Union Army. J.R. Sypher's "History of the Pennsylvania Reserve Corps" which
has been reprinted as ISBN 1-55613-498-3 is very complete and includes rosters
of each company.

hope this helps ... gary grove
