Hi Marybeth,
My GGgrandfather was also a Patrick Kelly, but he had shortened his name
from Kilkelly when he entered the army at the start of the Civil War. He
was also born in Galway, but we think that he was born in 1832 and that he
was the son of Bryan Kilkelly.

I believe that all of his descendents used the Kelly name, though there is
one Patrick Kilkelly that I've heard of, who may be a son or nephew.

I offer this information because you may run across "my" Patrick in
Huntingdon or Blair counties. Also, many of my other ancestors in this
line, hailed from Warriors Mark, but they were the Westons and a lot of
Germans.

Patrick's wife, Ann Nightwine, is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Newry,
Blair county, PA. I have not looked there for Patrick's grave, though it
might also be there.
