Jerrol F. Custer, 58, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at Forbes Regional Health
Center, Monroeville. Born Dec. 13, 1941, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of
Mary Kukich and the late James Custer. . Survivors include his mother from
Etna; his wife, Marilyn D. Custer; two sons, Douglas W. Custer of McKeesport
and James J. Custer of Plum; and a sister, Maureen Piluso of Gibsonia

Bruno Ferrari
Latrobe


Bruno Ferrari, 98, of Latrobe, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at his home. He
was born April 1, 1902, in Twilight Borough, Fayette County, a son of the
late Angelo and Maria (Sichi) Ferrari. Bruno was owner and operator of the
Latrobe Construction Co. and was an important part of the Latrobe community,
having been involved in many civic activities. In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Rose (Paul) Ferrari, in 1991; a
daughter, Barbara Raimondo; five brothers; and a sister. He is survived by
his son, Bruno Ferrari Jr.

James E. Ferraro, 77, of Trafford, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at his home.
He was born Dec. 25, 1922, in Trafford, a son of the late Domenic and
Domenica Iannuzzi Ferraro. . In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by a brother, Patsy Ferraro; a sister, Eva Marroncelli; and a grandson,
Christopher. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Isabelle Goodman
Ferraro; a son, James E. Ferraro of Clairton; two daughters, Linda Snyder and
her husband, Steve, of Plum Borough and Debra Reeger and her husband, Ronald,
of Burlington, N.C.; a brother, Frank Ferraro of Trafford; a sister, Felice

Catherine Fronzaglio, 76, of Lincoln Borough, died Friday, July 28, 2000, in
Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills Borough. She was born Nov. 6, 1923, in
McKeesport, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Kate Miller, and wife

Catherine Fronzaglio, 76, of Lincoln Borough, died Friday, July 28, 2000, in
Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills Borough. She was born Nov. 6, 1923, in
McKeesport, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Kate Miller, and wife
of the late Kenneth D. Fronzaglio. She is survived by sons, William G.
Fronzaglio of Lincoln Borough and Joseph K. Fronzaglio of West Newton;
brother, William Miller of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Ann Ganassi, 85, of West Newton, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, in West
Newton. Born March 27, 1915, in West Newton, she was a daughter of the late
George and Helen Bobich Stulock.. She is survived by her husband, Robert
Ganassi; a son, Lance Ganassi of West Newton; a sister, Helen Hughes of West
Newton; and a brother, Edward Stulock of Ohio. In addition to her parents,
she was predeceased by two sisters, Ella Fedrow and Mary Thompson.

Patrick G. Garlits, 80, a resident of Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg,
formerly of Jeannette, died Saturday, July 29, 2000. He was born Jan. 29,
1920, in Greensburg, a son of the late George and Catherine Britt Garlits. .
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lucille Tarlo
Garlits, in 1997; and a brother, Francis Garlits. He is survived by a
daughter, Judy Minyon and her husband, Michael, of Jeannette; a son, Patrick
Garlits and his wife, Terry, of Greensburg;

Michael J. Genard, 78, of Youngwood, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at
Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born July 8, 1922, in
Tarrs, a son of the late Michael and Lucia LoGreco GenardIn addition to his
parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel and James Genard;
and a sister, Mary Falcon. He is survived by his wife, Betty Pfeifer Genard;
two daughters, Rebecca S. and Cheryl A. Genard, and a son, William M. Genard,
all of Youngwood; two brothers, Leonard Genard of Youngwood and Frank Genard
of Glendale, Ariz.; and two sisters, Antoinette Pelar of Youngwood and
Margaret Fisher of Columbus, Ohio.

Arthur J. Gibson, 91, of Penn Hills, died on Thursday, July 27, 2000, in
Heartland Health Center, East Liberty. He is survived by cousins and many
friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine E. Gibson. There

Helen (Gagich) Karan, of Wall, died Saturday, July 29, 2000. Beloved wife of
William Karan. Dear mother of Mindy, Wendy and Bill. Loving grandmother of
Larissa, Garrett, Will and Taylor. Sister of Mildred Vorkapic, Ruby Andrich,
Mary Salopek, John, William, Joseph and Daniel Gagich. Also numerous nieces
and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Srdan and Mary (Oreb)
Gagich; a sister, Jean Gagich; and a brother, Robert Gagich. There will be no
visitation.

James W. Kelly, 71, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at Suburban General Hospital
in Bellevue. Born June 2, 1929, in Emsworth, he was the son of the late John
W. and Dora (Barkely) Kelly.Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Mulkerin)
Kelly; two daughters, Virginia M. Vickinovac and Colleen A. Grantz; four
sons, James M. Kelly, William J. Kelly, Daniel R. Kelly and Kevin P. Kelly;
and nine grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
by four brothers, Melvin Kelly, William E. Kelly, Joseph "Lee" Kelly, Daniel

Mildred J. McDonald, 92, of Latrobe, having been residing with her niece,
Nancy E. Martin, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, in Edgewood Nursing Center,
Unity Township. She was born June 2, 1908, in Derry Township, a daughter of
the late Charles E. and Mary J. Kennedy Shrum. In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Pahel; her second
husband, Elmer McDonald; five sisters, Eleanor Akins, Gertrude Mills, Irene
Stemmler, Edna Harr and Marie Buerger; and four brothers, Raymond, Albert,
Wilbur and Regis Shrum

Donald L. Rittenhouse, 43, of Mt. Pleasant RD5 (Laurelville), passed away
Friday afternoon, July 28, 2000, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor
vehicle accident. Don was born March 26, 1957, in Sellersville, Pa., a son of
Henry and Beulah Hendricks Rittenhouse of Souderton, Pa. Don married the
former Jane Birky in March of 1986. . In addition to his parents, Henry and
Beulah Rittenhouse, Don is survived by his loving family, his wife, Jane
(Birky) Rittenhouse; two daughters, Leah and Krista Rittenhouse at home;
three brothers, Dennis Rittenhouse and wife, Mary, of Denver, Pa., Dale
Rittenhouse of Souderton, Pa., and Dean Rittenhouse and wife, Beth, of Green
Lane, Pa.; his extended family, his father- and mother-in-law, Joe and Velda
Birky of Delevan, Ill.; Mark and Jean Birky of Hopedale, Ill.; Curt and Jean
Veenema Birky of Glenn, Mich.; and Jeff and Millie Birky of Goshen, Ind.

Nell V. Sanner, 86, formerly of Ligonier RD3 (Waterford), died Saturday, July
29, 2000, at Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Sept.
24, 1913, in Everson, a daughter of the late Peter and Victoria Klupka Bonar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mahlon J. ``Huck,'' in January
1986; and two sisters, Catherine Carroll and Margaret Werstvik. Surviving are
a sister, Mrs. Flo Olecki, and a brother, Frank Bonar, both of Latrobe.

by her husband, William E. Simpson; a daughter, Dianne Nagle of North

Knapp, and Clyde Knapp of Wisconsin; . Mrs. Sperling was preceded in death by
her husband, Walter J. Sperling Sr.; one sister, Alberta Miller; three
brothers, Eugene, Norbert, and Robert Knapp.

Frank Donald Spillar, 52, of Derry, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, in IHS of
Greater Pittsburgh, Hempfield Township. Born Aug. 22, 1947, in Latrobe, he
was a son of Ida M. Gasdek Spillar of Latrobe and the late Andrew J. Spillar.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles
Spillar. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife and
best friend, Darlene Banner Spillar; a daughter, Melissa Spillar of Latrobe;
three sons, Christopher Spillar and his wife, Michelle of Bradenville, Dustin
Banner and Joshua Banner, both at home;
