Does anyone have any experience with the web search sites like Ancestry.com or Genealogy.com? I am trying to locate the origin of my great-grandfather, John, (or Frederick as he used his middle name), Schurr who died in Indiana, PA on March 11, 1878 and is buried in the Oakland Cemetery there. When I do a search using Ancestry.com or Genealogy.com they say they have thousands of hits, but then want to charge me to see any of the results. Do these sites really give you access to old census records or are they a rip off? Thanks,
Ken Schurr
