I just thought I'd add my "2 cents" to this conversation. The Cameron County message board was gathering a list of everyone's favorite websites. Last I heard they were going to put it up on Rootsweb.com or their own county site as a link so everyone had access to it. Someone "accidently" posted it to the Clearfield site and it just started to snowball. Everybody wanted a copy of the list so that's what they decided to do.

As for Ancestry.com, I have used it and I got my money's worth and then some, at least for me. I have also used AncestryPlus and Rootsweb.com. If I find a site or link that's especially useful for me, I just bookmark it or add it to my "favorites" list and then I can go back to it again and again.

Most of the time, it's the great people on all these message boards who really come through. I've requested obits and almost every time, someone's gone out of their way for me. And mostly for FREE! I've tried to repay the favors if I can. Genealogists are just a great bunch who love to share with others. I'm glad to be a part of it.
