I am descended from John KENNEDY b 1739 Bangor, Co. Down, Ireland
who came to America about 1764 and settled first in Orange Co, NY
before migrating to the Wyoming Valley, PA about 1780.

My line from John KENNEDY:
John m Maria widow of ? VanFleet (maiden name may have been Armstrong)
Thomas b 1782 (Deerpark, NY) m Elizabeth Scofield
James Scofield b 1808 (Plains Twp, PA) m Pauline Jayne
(Plains Twp is now part of Wilke-Barre)
William DeWitt b 1842 (Lackawanna Twp, PA) m Amelia Maria Carter
William Pulaski b 1869 (Scranton, PA) m Georgina Kittle
Hilda DeWitt b 1901 (Scranton, PA) m Roy Carter

Hilda and Roy were my grandparents.

Amelia Maria Carter Kennedy left a handwritten 47 page book with all the
Kennedy family information she could find as of 1911.

I would love to here from anyone with connections to this family.
