Jim,
Lackawanna Co. Deeds are filed on computer and in index books.
The index books are by years--1885-1910; 19110-1935; etc.
The easies way is to find the surname of your ancestor in the "Grantee"
books (usually red in color) Then find the first initial of the first
name of your ancestor, then go to the book/volune and page
number in the books or volumes if you use the film. The clerks are
very helpful to new-comers. just ask, they will walk you thru.
