Subject: Avondale 1869 mining disaster
Date: Sat, 28 Feb 1998 18:14:29 -0700
Hello:
I purchased a wonderful re-print of the newspaper articles regarding this
accident from the Plymouth Historical Society.
David JAMES, a nephew of Mrs. PHILLIPS of Plymouth, died in this mining
disaster, leaving a wife and child. Would like to determine if this is my
relative.
Where was David JAMES buried? Information doesn't appear in the article,
but then they had more than 100 men killed that day.
Any suggestions appreciated.
