Hello:

Info for mine accidents can be found at the following:

(1)Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection
Bureau of Deep Mine Safety
Rachel Coarsen State Office Building
Post Office Box 8463
Harrisburg, PA 17105-8463
PHONE: (717) 783-7515

(2)Anthracite Heritage Museum Library
RD 1 Bald Mountain
Scranton, PA 18504
717-963-4804

I have written to both of the above regarding relative's mine accidents. A
SASE (and ballpark date) was included with my letter, however, I received a
responsse only from the Bureau of Deep Mine Safety in Harrisburg; no
response from the Anthracide Heritage Museum Library.

The Bureau of Deep Mine Safety was terrific. I provided a ballpark date
and they responded within the month.
