<< Hello,

I have a question that some of you may be able to answer. I have tried to
follow my Pidgeon line from Ireland to Carbondale. John "and family" were
born in Ireland and settled in C'dale circa 1847-1850. I cannot figure out
where they entered the country. I have searched the passenger lists, port
of
entry lists, and famine lists without success.
Can anyone see a pattern of where Carbondale or Lackawanna Irish entered the
country? My obvious choice was Philadelphia, but I could not find any
mention of my Pidgeons.

Please respond to the list or my email.
Thanks for any help.

Paul,
I would try New York City. While searching for my JONES name, I saw hundreds
of immigrant names from Ireland on ships that docked in NYC.
