Looking for information on my gggrandmother Mary GORMAN GERRITY HAMMILL b
1824 and the associated families. Mary m James GERRITY (GERAGHTY)and they
lived in Wisconsin and Carbondale, PA for a while. After James was killed in
Wisconsin in 1863 Mary came to Scranton where she married HAMMILL. She lived
with her daughter Bridget GERRITY and her husband Michael RUANE on 522 4th St
Scranton until her death sometime after 1910. Mary was related to the GORMAN
line that included Rt. Rev. Msgr. Walter A. GORMAN and CAVANAUGH, DUFFY,
GORMLEY, GAFFNEY, GREAVEY families.
