This is my Grandmothers recipe and it goes away back as I am 76.
3 cups flour
I/2 lb lard
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup raisins
milk (enough to hold it together)
Roll out stiff ball of dough cut with drinking glass
pre heat fry pan(no oil)
fry cookies until slightly brown on both sides.
