Happy 4th to all Rooters,

I am searching for the parents of George W. Stephey and Jennie (Sara
Jane) Stephey Hacker. Below is the following information that I have
found so far:

George W. Stephey born July 12, 1848 in Lincoln, PA. George is found
later in Morrow Co., Ohio at the age of 12 in the 1860 Federal
Census without other Stephey family members.

Jennie (Sara Jane) Stephey born abt. August,
1850 in PA and married Isaac Hacker about 1868 according to the 1900
Lancaster Co. Federal Census. I was unable to read the 1890, 1880 and
1870 census for Lancaster due to the poor quality of the films. Is this
normal or are the films at the Tampa library just bad?

Jennie and Isaac had the following children:
Minnie C. Hacker born about 1875/76
Lemon G. Hacker born about Jan., 1881
Samuel C. Hacker born about Nov., 1883
Charles H. Hacker born about Apr., 1889
Lottie Jane Hacker born about Apr., 1893

Isaac Hacker was born about Sept., 1832 in PA and died sometime before
1910.

In the 1900-1920 Census the Hacker family was living in Ephrata Twp. in
Lancaster Co., PA.

Does anyone know of these families? Is there a birth index that covers
the 1848-1852 years for Lancaster, PA? I would like to send for
George's birth certificate but know from past experience that I would
have better luck with sending index numbers for the certificate.

Is there a death index to cover the years 1920-
1940? I would like to send for the death certificate for Jennie. I
have gotten a copy of the death certificate for George but the parents
are listed as unknown.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance. I would be willing to do
lookups in Florida for any information or reimburse (within reason) for
ay expense incurred.
