Hi Chuck -

Your 6th great grandmother, Anna HERSHEY, was the daughter of Christian
HERSHEY and his wife Oade. Christian came to America with his family in
1709 and was the first Mennonite Bishop in this country. He held the
office until his death. He was succeeded by his son, Benjamin, who was
in turn Bishop until his death. Benjamin and his brother Andrew were
the brothers of Anna HERSHEY.

Any chance the Lancaster County Historical Society or the Mennonite
Historical Society might have a copy of the book you mentioned (The
History of the LONG Family of Pennsylvania)? I'd love to get a look at
it and will check with the two societies next time I'm in the Lancaster
area.

Thanks again for your input.
