Rita,
I have noted a pattern of migration from Montgomery Co., PA to Frederick
Co., Maryland then into Adams Co., PA . They turned up in Apple's Church
records of Thurmont, Frederick Co., MD.in 1795. I found the family in
Falkner Swamp Reformed Church of New Hanover Twp., Montgomery County, PA in
1767. Sometime after 1808 they move into Franklin Twp., Adams Co.,
Pennsylvania.
I have no idea how many families went this way but it is a clue. Have you
tried various spelling of the surnames?
