Jacob Eicholtz, the famous Lancaster artist
was born today.

The Minutes of the Council of Safety record that:
Two accounts were exhibited for arms purchased for 2
companies of James Crawford's Battalion of Militia,
of Lancaster County, one amounting to 14 pounds, 17
shillings, the other to 4 pounds 10 shillings....(2)

On November 2nd and 12th, Christ Sangry and Henry
Minike were paid 5 pounds for their services of
hauling cannon to Philadelphia.(3)

Thomas Dickinson of the British 7th Regiment married
Elizabeth Fulmore at the St.James Church.(4)

George Musser's company of guards at the Lancaster
Barracks reported: "...all well during night;
two of the sentries found asleep on thier posts, one
Peter Weil out of Hoffnagle's company from whom his
firelock was taken and he brought to the guard house,
the other Simon Harmon, and another of Capt. Henry's
company (Jacob Heise) got drunk and not fit for duty.(5)
