If your researching the Conestoga Area of Lancaster County or interested in
the Revolutionary War visit the web page of the Conestoga Area Historical
Society at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~pacahs/index.htm
This page includes the History of Conestoga, Manor, Martic, Pequea
Townships and Millersvill Borough as well as the History of the Millersville
Normal School (now Millersville University) from Ellis and Evans "History of
Lancaster County". Also on the pages are an 1875 map for the above townships,
a warrant map for Conestoga Twp., lists of Revolutionary War soldiers from the
above areas (Pequea was part of Conestoga, Millersville was part of Manor Twp.
then) as well as some general background on the Revolutionary War soldiers
that would interest anyone researching a Revolutionary War Soldier in Pa. In
addition there is an article on the Conestoga Wagon. If your doing long
distance genealogy or interested in history these pages provide some solid
material. The pages are hosted by Rootsweb.
