Hi Mark:
My earliest known Barber is Samuel Barber from Westmoreland Co., PA. He married Catherine Adams;
their son, Adam, is my GGF. Adam and first wife were in Allegheny Co., then went to Reedsville, OH.
My Grandfather, Phillip Edward was born iin Pittsburgh, grew up in Reedsville, then went west to
Aspen, CO and from there to Wyoming. Their daughter, Leona married Frank Chambers in Wyoming. Frank
was from Texas, his father from Georgia, back to South Carolina and back to Lancaster Co., PA.
Earliest known Chambers is David who was in the Revolutionary War from Lancaster, Drumore Township.
He married Martha Wharry. David had a brother William. Other than that I know nothing back from the
Rev.War.
Where is your Barber line from? As far as I know, my Barbers were never from Eastern PA, but I may
be wrong. I know of no Smith in my line.
Jody
