Am interested in the family of Daniel Peter Newman (Nauman) and Mary
Elizabeth Liebrich (Leebrick). They were married in December 1775 after
he received his medical training in Philadelphia. They moved to the
city of Lancaster and were active at the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Daniel served several terms as surgeon with various military units
during the Revolutionary War. He died unexpectedly in 1786 and is
buried at Trinity. After closing out the estate in Orphan's Court, Mary
and family moved to North Second street in Philadelphia, where she
carried on a dry goods business.
