Let me tell you how valuable the maps are. It list every cemetery and church
in the county and you can figure out how to get to them before you get to
PA. Time is most important.

I spent one Saturday going from Harrisburg (we were there for the Dutchman
Bowling tournament) through York Co into Adams Co so I could visit
cemeteries looking for a relative that I can't find. I visited 5 cemeteries
in Adams and then went back into York Co to visit 2 cemeteries I knew
relatives I had buried at and had never visited

I keep all my maps at home when I am not in PA. They have helped me over the
years with figuring out where relatives traveled and get a sense of the
area. Like the diary I have from a relative who live near Fileys Church,
Monaghan Twp, York Co and she tells of them churning butter to take to
Mechanicsburg to sell. It gives you a idea of what roads they traveled in
the late 1880's.

To some this may not be important but I am a lover of history. They are not
just a bunch of names we look for but they were once living breathing
persons who lived their lives just like us today only our is a little more
comfortable.
