Hi Sue,
By U.E. are you talking about the Evangelical church ? There was one in
Millersville, on West Frederick Street. That church folded about 1880, it
was a German Reformed Church at some point and then a Mennonite Church and
then some kind of Bible Church. I don't know if the cemetery still exists,
at one point there was a single monument that listed all those buried there
but the Bible Church took it down and I don't know what happened to it. I
think the individual tombstones were taken down at some point by one of the
congregations, I don't think they moved the bodies but I'm not sure. The
Millersville Bible Church has moved to the New Danville Pike, if you want to
give them a call the number is 717-872-4260. They should be able to tell
you what happened to the big stone monument that used to sit in front of the
church, it only disappeared after they took over.

Jim

Subject: [PALANCAS] New to list

> Hi. I am new to the list and I am researching my most difficult branch of
the tree. My Great Great grand father Henry Bates (1845-1917 )lived his
whole life in Lancaster and was married to Rosannah Henry (1854 - 1915 ) of
York PA. They had 7 children all of whom left the Lancaster area for Phila
and NY and places unknown. I have only just recently discovered Henry's
parents John J who came from Germany and Elizabeth ? who was a PA native
And then I found out Henry had a brother Daniel. Currently I am trying
without success to find Henry and Rosannah's burial place. It is listed on
death certificate as Millersville U.E. Cemetery but it can not be found in
today's records. Henry was a Civil war vet. and served in the Hospital dept
at Hock Station but again that is all I know and do not know where Hock
Station was. If any one knows where this cemetery is or where the bodies
were moved to if the cemetery was dug up I would be grateful. Sue Herbine
