Fellow Listers,
If your like me you take advantage of the many services offered
by the Public Libraries in Pennsylvania when doing research. If your
a Pennsylvania resident I hope you'll take time to voice your opinions
to your elected officials about the proposed budget cuts.

As many of you may already know, both the Representatives
and Senators passed the proposed Governors budget for the
fiscal year 2003-2004 Governor's Executive Budget which
would cut library aid by almost 50%, but it's not too late for
you to be heard!!!! The budget goes into effect on July 1, 2003
so you still have time to let the Governor know how you feel.
While the library system understands that the State is in a
serious predicament, the library and museum services are
being cut far more than other public services.
