Gail,
Yes, this surname is in my tree. Not from Lancaster Co., but from Greene
Co., PA. It is most often seen as Ankrom or Ankrum. The older generations
are seen as Ancrim and Ancrum. The name gets murdered all kinds of ways in
the census!
Which Ankrims are you looking for? Maybe yours went from Lancaster to
Greene.
