Fred,
I read your letter about the Welsh mountains and note that you are familar with the area.
My great grandfather was John Becker. He and his wife sold land on Welsh Mountain in 1833.(I believe that piece of land is no called "Spring Gulch Campgrounds."
In 1846 John Becker and his wife bought land on Welsh Mountain.
John Becker d. 18 Feb 1851 in a well accident. He was digging down in the well when a bucket of rocks fell in and killed him.
None of the descendants, that I know of, have ever found an obituary for him, or found his burial place in a cemetery. We assume that he would have been buried somewhere near his home.
My question: Which church cemeteries should we be lookings for?
