Hi,
I'm new to the list and searching for family that appear in the Lancaster Co. 1810 census.
My GGG grandmother MARGARET BOYER (dau. of Robert & Ann BOYER) married Peter BOWMAN in the 1790s. They were Protestants. They had a dau. named ANN SMITH BOWMAN in 1799. Sometime before 1810 Peter died. In the 1810 census for Lancaster Co. there appears a "Widow Bowman" age 26-45 yrs. with a daughter age 10-16 yrs. I believe these may be my Bowmans who eventually migrated to Louisiana.
Another name appearing in the same census was William ARMSTRONG. This may have been a relative or friend. William Armstrong's wife's name was AGNES.
Does anyone have information of this particular family or other Bowmans/Boyers/Armstrongs during that time period? I have been searching for a solution to this Bowman/Boyer brick wall for 15 years. Any help or suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks,
Pam in LA
