He was married in 1867 to Martha J. Magee of Plain Grove, who died in 1882,
leaving him with three children. He was later married to Miss Anna Shaw, who
survives him with three children, J. Audley, who resides on the old farm,
Robert C. of Monessen, and Mrs. William Brown of Oak street, this city. He is
also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Gere of McCaslin, Mrs. Margaret
Fisher of Slipperyrock township, Mrs. Mary A. Quigley of New Castle, and Mrs.
William Wellar of Murphysboro, Ill., Mrs. John Roberts of Rose Point, who died
in February, was his youngest sister. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2
p.m. from his late home in Princeton. Interment in Hermon cemetery.
Fred W. Cunningham - Relatives in this city have received word of the death at
midnight Saturday of Frank W. Cunningham, a former resident of this vicinity,
and a man widely known in Lawrence county. His death occurred at his home in
Pittsburg, being due to spinal trouble. Mr. Cunningham was 40 years of age,
and was born and spent the greater part of his life near Ellwood City. He is
survived by his wife and none daughter, Evelyn, aged 14, also by four
brothers, Amos of Wayne township, R.T. of Slipperyrock township, Wylie of
Wayne township, and D.L. Cunningham of Ellwood City, and by three sisters,
Mrs. H.W.Guy of Perry township, and Mrs. Fred Weingartner of the same
township.
He was uncle of Mrs. A. Martin Graham of this city and was related to Attorney
J.V. Cunningham. Mr. Cunningham was an uncle of Mrs. Lillian Welhasen of
Slipperyrock township, whose death occurred last week.
The remains have been brought to the residence of the brother, Amos
Cunningham, in Wayne township, and the funeral will be held Tuesday morning at
the slippery Rock church.
Mrs. William Stunkard.
Mrs. Jane Stunkard, wife of William Stunkard of Scott township, died last
night at the family home from a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Stunkard had been
ill as a result of paralysis of the throat for over 30 years. During the
greater portion of that time she was unable to swallow solid food and her life
had been filled with suffering. She was 64 years old and had been married 33
(or 23, hard to read) years. Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs.
William McCaslin, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Baker and Mrs. Mary Dinsmore.
Mrs. Stunkard was a member of the Neshannock United Presbyterian church.
Funeral services will be held from the church on Wednesday morning at 10:30
o'clock.
