Hi Jan,

My grandparents were from the New Castle area. Grandma grew up in Moravia
and in later years they moved to Lowellville where my dad was born and
attended school. Lowellville High School (We called them the Lowellville
Rats) were the archrivals of my high school sports teams (Springfield
Local). Used to have fights at nearly every game. Anyway, there was also
an Irish Ripple in the New Castle area - some of the McConahy clan lived
there.

Anyway, the public library at Youngstown, Mahoning County has an excellent
research library and there are several good Mahoning County histories (can't
recall exact titles.)

Good luck,

Donna
