Hi Jerry:
I think this is where Solomon showed up. It at least appears that he
was a son:

In the 1860 census for Muddy Creek Township (Whitestown Post Office),
Butler County, Pennsylvania (5 June 1860); Roll M653_1087, Image 0200, page
6 (656), lines 8 - 17:
34/31
Michael Hecathorn 59 M Farmer & Shoemaker 150 120 Pennsylvania
Mary 58 F
Maryland
Solomon 30 M Laborer
Pennsylvania
Andrew S. 26 M Laborer
Pennsylvania
Henry 24 M Laborer
Pennsylvania
Jacob 20 M Laborer
Pennsylvania
David 17 M Laborer
Pennsylvania
George W. 16 M Laborer
Pennsylvania
Lucinda 10 F
Pennsylvania
Sarah A. 4 F
Pennsylvania
Lucinda and Sarah "attended school within the year." Solomon and
Andrew were enumerated with "Persons over 20 yr's of age who cannot read or
write." The census enumerator was John Martin.
At this time, Michael Heckathorn was living next to the family of
Harrison & Mary Gorden, and very near to the family of Jacob R. & Elizabeth
C. (Carlon) Stoughton.
(At www.ancestry.com, this record is in image 6/28 for Muddy Creek
Township.)
