Jim and All,
Annville will be officially observing Memorial Day on Monday with the
American Legion's annual service on Mt Annville Cemetery and the laying of
the wreath on the Soldier's Block.
Today was the parade - one of the largest in central PA! They also include
a service at the end of the marching. This year special tribute was held
for the Korean War and a thanks to its veterans.
Many flags were flying at homes and businesses, as well as patriotic buntings.
Annville, as I'm sure many other towns across the US, has great respect for
the freedoms we hold so dear as well as the selfless sacrifices our
military personel make on behalf of those freedoms throughout the world. We
observe this day in solemn remembrance of those who gave the ultimate
sacrifice for all of us.
