Dorrance, John Thompson M.D., subject, son of John Dorrance, Jr., and
Elvira (Thompson) Dorrance, was born in Bristol, PA., Nov 11, and died
in Cinnaminson, NJ, Sept 21, 1930.

Dr. Dorrance married at Baltimore, MD, Aug 1906 to Ethel Mallinckrot,
d/o Louis Warner and Florence (Kelsey) Mallinckrot. Children; 1.
Elinore, born 1907, married 1927 to Nathanial Peter Hill of NY. They had
2 daughters Dorrance, born 1928 and Hope born 1934. 2. Ethel, born 1909,
married 1931 to Tristram Coffin Colket of Phila., They had 3 children;
Ethel, born 1933, died 1937, Tristran, born 1938, and Charlotte, born
1942. 3. Charlotte, born 1911, married 1934 to William Cox Wright. 4.
Margaret Winfred Dorracen born Oct 15, 1915, married George Strawbridge
Jr., born March 1937, they had 2 children; George Strawbrige Jr., born
Oct 20, 1937, and Dianna Dorrance Strawbridge, born Aug 11, 1939. 5.
John Thompson, born 1919, married 1943 to Mary Alice Bennett.

Schlegel, George Solomon., DDS, of Reading. He was born April 9, 1879 in
Cumru township, Berks County, s/o Edmund and mary M. (Kline). His
paternal grandfather, Solomon Schlegel, lived in Fleetwood, and his
maternal grandfather, Simon Kline of Reading.

Dr. .G. Solomon Schlegel married Oct. 29, 1903 to Emma Brumbach
Strohecker, d/o Augusts J. Strohecker, long time member of Reading's
Board of Park Commissioner. Mrs. Schlegel is a graduate of Reading High
School, where she was member of the same class as her husband.

Berks County History
Strohecker, Albert J., of Reading, was born in Reading, April 27, 1880,
s/o J. A. and Emma (Brumbach) Strohecker.

J. A. Strohecker, died in Reading, Feb 27, 1909, was born in Spring
township about 1832. He was survived by children; Mary the wife of
Robert Wetherhold, of Reading, Edward, of Reading, Emma, the wife of Dr.
Shlegel, a dentist of Reading, and Albert J.

Brumbach, Albert J., of Reading, was born in Exeter, Berks Co., Oct 11,
1840. Mr. Brumbach's father, William Brumbach, was born 1814 in Exeter,
where is father was the owner of a woolen mill in 1830, and while still
a boy, was put into the mill to learn the business. In 1842, he and his
brother, Jacob became the owners of the plant. They carried on as
patners for 3 years when Jacob withdrew. William went to Union County.
He was married twice, his first wife, Sarah Spats, d/o Jacob Spats. To
this union were born 4 children; Emma, the wife of Jacob A. Strohecker,
Albert J., Sarah,married William K. Leithiser, and Elizabeth, married J.
B. Stauffer. His second wife was Rachel Schneider, d/o David of Oley
and by her he had 4 sons; David, Aaron, George W., and Thomas.
