One Correction.
Some have stated that Christian married Maria Sassaman, which is
correct, but it is incorrect to state that he was a distant relative.
Their Sassaman lines do not connect all the way back to the early
1500's. If there is a connection, it is wholely unsupported by
evidence.

I. August Sassaman, of Witgenstein in Westphalia, Germany emigrated to
America in 1775

II Johannes, born in Germany

III Christian, born Dec 25, 1809 in Hereford twp. he died March 7, 1890.
He married a distant relative, Maria Sassaman, d/o Henry and Elisabeth
(Boyer) and granddaughter of Jacob Boyer.

IV John S. Sassaman was born in 1846 and died 1904. He married Elisabeth
Muthard, d/o Joel Muthard.
