Beth,

There is indeed a Levittown in Pennsylvania. It is located on the western
banks of the Delaware River about 20 miles northeast of Philadelphia.
Levittown has an interesting history as well. It was designed and built by
William Levit in 1952 and has been called the first "Planned Community" (We
call them housing developments now). Levit actually built four such
communities, the first being on Long Island, NY and another in Southern New
Jersey (present day Willingboro, NJ located southeast of the PA Levittown).
I'm not sure where the other Levittown was off the top of my head. Presently
Levittown is made up of smaller towships (Falls, Bristol, Middletown and
Tullytown) each of which maintains its own municipal status. For additional
info. on Levittown you may want to contact the library at the following
address and number:

Levittown Regional Library
7311 New Falls Road
Levittown, PA USA 19055

You also asked about the Fairless Steel Corp. near Levittown. I don't know of
a "stand alone" company by that name, but I'm thinking you may mean the United
States Steel - Fairless Works in Fairless Hills, PA. This location of USX
also started in 1952 and although much smaller now, is still operational.
They can be contacted at the following address and number:

US Steel-Fairless Works
Fairless Hills, PA USA 19030
Attn: Personel Dept.

Good luck with your research!
