Wedding - LANGLOIS-SPALONE. Miss Florence SPALONE, a nurse of New York
City, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael SPALONE, of this city, was married
last Wednesday to Raoul LANGLOIS, young business man of New York City.

Mrs. JOHNSON Wins Case On Appeal
The superior court today handed down a decision reversing the decision of
the lower courts in the case of JOHNSON versus the Jeddo-Highland Coal Co.
This is a case in which the widow of a North Side miner lost out in the
lower courts in her claim for a compensation award for the death of her
husband.
Miss Ella SHERIDAN of South Laurel street, manager of the Western Union,
will spend Easter with relatives in New York. She will be accompanied by
Miss Alverna MAGUIRE of Pawtucket, R.I., who has been her guest here the
past week.

Wedding - HAGELGANS-VOTTA. This morning at 9 o'clock at the Church of the
Most Precious Blood, preceding a high nuptial mass, Miss Anne VOTTA, of
Harrison street and Everett HAGELGANS of 16 Jackson avenue, West Hazleton,
were married, the Rev. Father Francis MOLINO, the pastor, officiating. The
bride was given in marriage by her brother Ralph and wore a gown of white
satin and veil of chantilly lace. Miss Rose VOTTA, sister of the bride,
was the maid of honro and wore pink satin with tulle hat to match and
carried an arm bouquet of Columbia roses. Paul HAGELGANS, brother of the
groom, was the best man. Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was
served at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William J.
HAGELGANS of West Hazleton.
Wedding - CHERICO-PAYNE. This afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Church of the
Most Precious Blood, Miss Madeline PAYNE, of 641 Hayes street and Anthony
CHERICO, of 343 West Fourth street, formerly of New York City, were married
by the Rev. Father Francis MOLINO. The wedding march was played by Mrs.
John J. PUSTI and preceding the ceremony, Paul FIORI sang "Ave Maria" and
MIss Margaret PAYNE, sister of the bride sang, "I Love You Truly." Miss
Josephine CHERICO, of West Fourth St., niece of the groom, was the maid of
honor. Miss Matilda PAYNE, sister of the bride, was the bridesmaid. The
flower girls were Marie ANGELO and Gloria CHERICO, the latter, a niece of
the groom. Nicholas PAYNE, Jr., nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.
The best man was Philip PAYNE, brother of the bride and Jery PORTILIO
served as usher.
Wedding - THOMPSON-UNIS. Miss Josephine UNIS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.
UNIS, of 793 Alter street and James THOMPSON, of North Locust street, were
married this morning at 8:30 at St. Gabriel's church, preceding a high
nuptial mass. Rev. Father Thomas MONAHAN, of St. Gabriel's performed the
ceremony and also celebrated the mass. The attendants wee Miss Mary UNIS,
sister of the bride and Paul THOMPSON, brother of the groom.
John MARTIN, of Dover, N.J., is visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. B.J.
MARTIN, of South Church street.
Stephen PAVLOSCKY, of Jeddo, arrested last night by officer Steve HAVRILLA
for passing a stop sign at Church and Maple streets, will be given a
hearing tonight before Mayor HARVEY.
While Mr. and Mrs. George KOTANSKY, of 218 East Chestnut street were
driving from Freeland at 10 o'clock last night an unknown autoist crashed
into their machine on the Harleigh-North Church street macadam pike and
drove off without stopping to ascertain if any one was hurt.
Mrs. Stephen J. PARDUS, and daughter, Betty Mae, of Pittsburgh, has arrived
to spend a few weeks visiting her relatives, Mr. and Mrs. John LUKACH, of
681 Lincoln street.

Miss Helen B. OZELKA, of this city who has been a student nurse at the
Philadelphia General Hospital, will graduate April 25.
Mrs. Mary NAGLE and daughter Mary, of Eckley, underwent operations today
for the removal of their tonsils and adenoids.
Paul GROVER of this city, was operated on today.
Miss Helen D. VASKALIS, of Drifton and sister, Mrs. Fred J. MONDIK and
family, of Hazleton and other relatives, have returned home after attending
the reception which was held at St. Mary's Convent in Wilkes-Barre on
Easter Monday.
C.M. FEY was tendered a birthday surprise party last night at the home of
his son, Harry FEY, 410 East Broad street, in honor of his seventy-first
birthday anniversary.

Wedding - BOYLE-BARNHART. Peter J. BOYLE of Harwood and Miss Beatrice D.
BARNHART of Lansford, formerly of this city, were married at 8 o'clock this
morning in St. Gabriel's church by The Right Reverend Monsignor James S.
FAGAN. The attendants were John O'HARA of this city and Miss Regina BOYLE
of Harwood.
