I have finally found out something about my Grandfather, William E. Harding. He died in a mining accident on 8/24/1912 in the Prospect Colliery, 7th district, Luzerne Co. I think this was located in N. WilkesBarre where he lived. I remember visiting the area when I was a child. My father pointed out where they had lived. The house had been over the mine shafts and the entire area was collapsed into the mines. At least it seemed that way from the prspective of an 8 - 10 year old! The house of course was no longer there - just a large expanse of grey, stoney fields we had to view from the edge of the field.

Does anyone have access to a 1912 WilkesBarre paper that could look up an obituary his for me? It would be so great to find out more - - this has been a dead end for me.
