I posted a query about one year ago and I don't see old queries on the
website anymore. Should I post again?

Since my original post, I think I have confirmation that my MASON family did
settle in Bradford.

William Mason (? to 1892) who married Agnes Purviance McClelland of
Franklin, Venango Co.
Children: James Bryden Mason (about 1865 in Tionesta PA to 1935 Buffalo NY;
a druggist in Buffalo NY), Robert Lee Mason (who I believe became a banker)
, William Mason (b/ 1867 d. 1947; went to England and ran a business there
through W.W.II), Alfred Gilmore Mason, Annalana Mason (b. 1860). So far I
have discovered a William W. Mason, Esq referred in papers about the
McClelland family, and a William W. Maosn on the list of lay officers for
the Protestant Episcopal Church (source: Beers History of McKean Co.), and a
William Mason listed as a private in the 42nd Regiment, Company I from
McKean Co.. In the Beer's source I also saw a Robert Lee Mason was a
cashier and teller in a Bradford Bank during the 1870s.

James Bryden Mason was my great-grandfather. Scott Bryden Mason, his son
was my grandfather who married Marie Katherine Clark of Watkins Glen NY.
Their children were Hadley Currie Mason and James Burch Mason (my father).

I need to confirm this information. Any suggestions on how this could be
done and any more information about this family would be appreciated.

Also I plan to visit Bradford within the next few weeks. Any suggestions on
how I could best spend my time researching family historical sources there
would be appreciated also. I will only have one to two days.

Thank you,

Janita Mason Ponze
